Michael-Joel David Stuart
(D.O.B – 30th May 1997)

 

Co-Host of ‘Show Da Youths Love!

Michael-Joel David Stuart is ten years of age and attends a Junior School in Tottenham. In July 2003, at the age of just six, Michael-Joel began acting with The Stylisters Children and Youth Voluntary Performing Arts Group and performed at the Millfield Theatre in a production called Street Kids - The Final Conflict as a bullied boy/street dancer (directed by Lorna Blackman).

In 2004 Michael-Joel left the Group to join Kids Ahead Stage School at the College of North-East London and appeared in their two productions at the Millfield Theatre called Is It Love, Romeo (directed by Ciaran McConville) as a dancer/singer in 2004 and in Bugsy Malone (directed by Kathy Jefford) as a newspaper boy/singer/dancer in 2005. Michael-Joel also worked with Streetz Ahead Production Company and performed at Jackson’s Lane Theatre in a play called The Wild West Showdown as a dancer at the end of the year 2005.

Michael-Joel’s other credits in 2005 include an ident for Robinson’s Fruit Shoot for an ITV television programme called Skills, where he played a street dancer. He also played the son of a wanton mother in the controversial BBC1 film called Shoot the Messenger. In June 2006, Michael-Joel completed three weeks of filming in Scotland for a (Harmony Korine – director and David Reid) film called Mister Lonely in which he plays a wild farm boy called Buckwheat. This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on the 23rd May 2007 to rave reviews. This film is now due for UK national release on 30th April 2008.

From November 2006 until February 2007 Michael-Joel worked at Shaftsbury Theatre in the West End hit musical Daddy Cool (directed by Andy Goldberg and produced by Frank Farian) and played little Sunny, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The musical then moved onto Berlin.

On Monday 4 June 2007 Michael-Joel shot a commercial for Tesco’s advertising school uniforms. Also on the 23 June 2007 Michael-Joel worked on a Disney Channel children’s programme called Bunny Town where he played a nerd winning a dancing competition.

Since then in August 2007 he has completed a show for Haringey Shed at the Shaw Theatre in their production of Dreamcatchers, then he performed at Sylvia Young Stage School in their production of The Wiz , again in August 2007.

In November 2007, Michael-Joel played the part of a child talking to a cartoon character in the Nickleodeon Television show called What’s Your News, which will be broadcast sometime in 2009.

Thereafter in December 2007, Michael-Joel was a co-host in a one-off show at the Renaissance Live Showcase at the Angel Community Centre in Edmonton, London., N15

Finally, Michael-Joel has just completed 33 performances from November 2007 until January 2008 as one of the Lost Children in Peter Pan at the Millfield Theatre (directed by Neville Hutton) and staring David McAlister from Hollyoaks as Captain Hook.

Surely Michael-Joel is a young talent of the future!
